How to Replace the Battery in a 2014 Subaru Outback Key Fob

Simple steps to change the battery in your Outback's keyless entry remote
A small coin battery installed inside the your remote key fob. Accurately try to pry apart your key with flat head screwdriver. Change CR1620 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with new one CR1620. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
Before assembling fob’s case, make sure that all functions works by pressing buttons on remote key fob.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Accurately try to assemble the pieces together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your keyless entry remote shell for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
