Simple steps to replace the battery in your car's key fob
Inside of your key fob installed coin cell battery. Remove any internal key before you try to pry apart the remote key fob.
Accurately try to disassemble your remote key fob with pry tools. Replace 1 CR2016 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery inside fob’s body. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your key fob will not work if you put battery wrong way.
After the new battery installed, verify keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Gently try to put the two halves in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your fob case for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
