Simple steps to change the battery in your Tacoma's key fob
Inside of your keyless entry remote installed tiny button cell battery. Remove any internal key first, and then try to pry apart the keyless entry remote.
Delicately try to pry apart your fob with flat head screwdriver. Change one CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Change old battery with fresh one CR2032. Battery must be installed with the same position as was a previous. Your key will not work if you mistakenly place battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, check remote key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's body in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Gently try to assemble the pieces in place by hands from top to bottom. If your keyless entry remote case tightly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step.
