How to Open Your 2014 Volkswagen GTI Key Fob and Change Battery

Step by step guide
Inside of your key fob installed small button cell battery. Open key before you try to pry apart the keyless entry remote.
Carefully try to disassemble your keyless entry remote with hands or flat head screwdriver. Change one CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery inside keyless entry fob's shell. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, verify remote key fob by pressing buttons. If everything working good, assemble your fob’s body in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Accurately try to assemble the pieces in place by hands from top to bottom. If your remote key fob case firmly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step.
