How to Open Your 2015 Cadillac XTS Key Fob and Change Battery

If your Cadillac keyless entry remote is no longer open doors correct, the cell battery most likely needs to be changed. Before beginning open remote key fob make sure that you have all required tools and materials: 1 CR2032 battery and flat head screwdriver.- flat head screwdriver

Simple steps to replace the battery in your XTS's keyless entry remote
A coin cell battery installed in the your key fob. Remove any internal key before you try to pry apart the keyless entry remote.
Carefully try to pry apart your fob with pry tools. Replace CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with fresh one CR2032. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your key will not work if you connect battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, check keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Gently try to assemble the pieces together by hands from top to bottom. Check your key fob body for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
