Simple steps to change the battery in your Transit Connect's keyless entry remote
A tiny coin cell battery installed in the your remote key fob. Move the key out of the way if it is in the remote key fob.
Accurately try to disassemble your key fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Remove 1 CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it inside fob’s shell. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
Before assembling keyless entry fob's case, verify that all functions works by pressing buttons on remote key fob.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your shell pieces together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. Check your keyless entry remote shell for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
