Simple steps to change the battery in your Discovery's key fob
A tiny button cell battery installed inside the your keyless entry remote. Remove any internal key first, and then try to pry apart the keyless entry remote.
Accurately try to disassemble your key fob with flat head screwdriver. Replace 1 CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery inside keyless entry fob's case. Battery must be placed with the same polarity as was an old. Your keyless entry remote will not work if you mistakenly put battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, verify key fob by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your case two halves together and put it together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your fob body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
