2015 Scion FR-S Key Fob Battery Replacement Guide

If your car remote key fob is not unlock doors well, the cell battery probably needs to be replaced. Below, we walks you through how to disassembly your car keyless entry remote and replace your Scion key battery step by step.

Before starting open keyless entry remote make sure that you have all required tools and materials: flat head screwdriver and one CR1632 battery.- 1xCR1632 battery

Step by step guide
Inside of your keyless entry remote installed small button cell battery. Remove any internal key first, and then try to pry apart the remote key fob.
Delicately try to pry apart your key with pry tools. Remove one CR1632 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it inside fob’s shell. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, verify remote key fob by pressing buttons. If everything working fine, assemble your keyless entry fob's case in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Accurately try to put the two halves in place by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your key fob shell for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
