Before going to open keyless entry remote check all that you need: one CR2032 battery and flat head screwdriver.- 1xCR2032 battery

Simple steps to replace the battery in your Corolla's keyless entry remote
Inside of your keyless entry remote installed tiny button cell battery. Remove any internal key before you try to pry apart the key fob.
Carefully try to disassemble your key with pry tools. Replace 1 CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with new one CR2032. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
Before assembling fob’s case, verify that all functions works by testing buttons on circuit board.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Carefully try to assemble the two halves together by hands from top to bottom. Check your remote key fob case for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
