2016 Chevrolet Cruze Key Fob Battery Replacement Instructions

If your car key fob isn't working properly, the battery likely needs to be changed. In this article, we explained how to disassembly your car keyless entry remote and change your Chevrolet key battery.
What is the battery key fob require
Before going to disassembly remote key fob make sure that you have all recommended tools and materials: CR2032 battery and flat head screwdriver.- flat head screwdriver

Step by step guide
Inside of your key fob installed small button battery. Open the key if it is in the remote key fob.
Carefully try to disassemble your fob with flat head screwdriver. Change CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it inside keyless entry fob's body. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your keyless entry remote will not work if you place battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, check keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If everything working properly, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Gently try to put the pieces together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your remote key fob body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
