Before beginning disassembly key fob check all that you need: flat head screwdriver and 1xCR2032 battery.- flat head screwdriver
- 1xCR2032 battery
Simple steps to change the battery in your car's key fob
Inside of your remote key fob installed tiny button cell battery. Open the key if it is in the keyless entry remote.
Gently try to disassemble your key with hands or flat head screwdriver. Replace 1xCR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Change old battery with new one CR2032. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, check key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your keyless entry fob's body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your body pieces together and assemble it in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your keyless entry remote case for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
