2017 Cadillac XTS Key Fob Battery Replacement Guide

Replacing battery in key fob require 1xCR2032 battery and flat head screwdriver. Prepare these materials and tools before opening and make sure to match the size of your fob’s batteries.- flat head screwdriver

Simple steps to replace the battery in your XTS's key fob
A coin cell battery installed in the your key fob. Remove any internal key first, and then try to pry apart the keyless entry remote.
Gently try to pry apart your keyless entry remote with flat head screwdriver. Remove 1 CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery inside keyless entry fob's case. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your keyless entry remote will not work if you place battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, check keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Gently try to assemble the two halves in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your fob shell for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
