Simple steps to replace the battery in your Cruze's remote key fob
Inside of your remote key fob installed small coin battery. Open the key if it is in the keyless entry remote.
Accurately try to pry apart your key with flat head screwdriver. Replace one CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery in keyless entry fob's shell. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your keyless entry remote will not work if you place battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, check keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your shell two halves together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. Check your remote key fob case for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
