2017 Ford Fiesta Key Fob Battery Replacement Guide

If your car remote key fob is no longer open doors perfectly, the cell battery more likely needs to be replaced. In this article, we described how to disassembly your car remote key fob and replace your Ford key battery.

Changing battery in remote key fob require flat head screwdriver and 1xCR2032 battery. Prepare these materials and tools before opening and make sure to match the size of your keyless entry fob's batteries.- flat head screwdriver

Step by step guide
A coin battery installed in the your key fob. Move the key out of the way if it is in the remote key fob.
Accurately try to disassemble your key fob with pry tools. Change 1xCR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery in keyless entry fob's body. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, verify keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your shell two halves together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. Check your key fob shell for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
