2017 Nissan Leaf Key Fob Battery Replacement Instructions

If your car key is no longer open doors properly, the battery more likely needs to be changed. Below, we outlined how to disassembly your car remote key fob and change your Nissan key battery.

Don't forget before disassembly remote key fob check all that you need: flat head screwdriver and 1 CR2025 battery.- 1xCR2025 battery

Step by step instruction
Inside of your remote key fob installed button battery. Move the key out of the way if it is in the key fob.
Carefully try to open your key with flat head screwdriver. Remove 1xCR2025 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with fresh one CR2025. Battery must be installed with the same polarity as was an old. Your key fob will not work if you by mistake place battery wrong way.
After the new battery installed, check remote key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your fob’s body in reverse order.
At this point squeeze fob’s back cover together. Line your shell pieces together and assemble it in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your keyless entry remote body for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
