Simple steps to replace the battery in your car's remote key fob
A tiny coin battery installed in the your keyless entry remote. Open the key if it is in the keyless entry remote.
Gently try to pry apart your remote key fob with pry tools. Remove CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it inside fob’s shell. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your keyless entry remote will not work if you connect battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, check keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s case in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Accurately try to assemble the pieces together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your key shell for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
