How to Open Your 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan Key Fob & Change Battery

What is the battery key fob require
Before you start to open key fob be sure that you have all recommended tools and materials: flat head screwdriver and one CR2032 battery.- flat head screwdriver

Simple steps to replace the battery in your Tiguan's keyless entry remote
Inside of your keyless entry remote installed tiny button cell battery. Open key before you try to pry apart the keyless entry remote.
Accurately try to open your remote key fob with flat head screwdriver. Remove CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery in fob’s shell. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, verify remote key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Accurately try to assemble the pieces together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your remote key fob shell for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
