How to Open Your 2018 GMC Savana Key Fob & Change Battery

If your GMC key is no longer working correct, the battery more likely needs to be replaced. It's not complicated to change the battery in your remote key fob, and it’s easier than you think. Everything you need is described below.

Don't forget before disassembly keyless entry remote check all that you need: 1xCR2032 battery and flat head screwdriver.- 1xCR2032 battery

Step by step instruction
A tiny coin battery installed in the your remote key fob. Open the key if it is in the key fob.
Accurately try to open your remote key fob with pry tools. Replace one CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with fresh one CR2032. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, verify remote key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's body in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Gently try to put the pieces in place by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your remote key fob body for gaps. If it is not firmly closed try to repeat last step.
