Simple steps to replace the battery in your car's remote key fob
A small button cell battery installed in the your remote key fob. Remove any internal key before you try to pry apart the remote key fob.
Accurately try to pry apart your remote key fob with hands or flat head screwdriver. Change 1xCR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with fresh one CR2032. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your key will not work if you put battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, verify key fob by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s shell in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your body pieces together and assemble it together by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your key shell for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
