How to Replace the Battery in a 2018 Lexus RX 450h Key Fob

If your car remote key fob is not unlock doors properly, the cell battery surely needs to be replaced. In this post, we explained how to open your car keyless entry remote and replace your Lexus key battery.

Before you start to open keyless entry remote be sure that you have all recommended tools and materials: flat head screwdriver and CR2032 battery.- flat head screwdriver

Step by step guide
Inside of your key fob installed small coin cell battery. Move the key out of the way if it is in the key fob.
Carefully try to disassemble your remote key fob with flat head screwdriver. Remove one CR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it in fob’s body. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check position on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, verify remote key fob by pressing buttons. If everything working fine, assemble your fob’s body in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Carefully try to put the two halves in place by hands from top to bottom. If your key shell firmly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step.
