Before beginning disassembly keyless entry remote check all that you need: flat head screwdriver and 1 CR2025 battery.- 1xCR2025 battery

Simple steps to replace the battery in your CX-5's key fob
Inside of your remote key fob installed button cell battery. Remove any internal key first, and then try to pry apart the remote key fob.
Accurately try to open your keyless entry remote with flat head screwdriver. Replace 1 CR2025 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Replace old battery with fresh one CR2025. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
When the new battery installed, check key fob functionality by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your keyless entry fob's shell in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Delicately try to assemble the pieces in place by hands from top to bottom. If your key fob shell tightly closed, we done. If not, repeat the last step.
