Simple steps to replace the battery in your car's keyless entry remote
A button cell battery installed inside the your keyless entry remote. Move the key out of the way if it is in the remote key fob. Unscrew the back of the keyless entry remote. Spin the keyless entry remote over and find for at least 1 fastener holding in the plastic.
Accurately try to open your key with hands or flat head screwdriver. Change 1 CR2450 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Change old battery with new one CR2450. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the charge cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new battery installed, check keyless entry remote functionality by pressing buttons. If everything is functioning, assemble your keyless entry fob's shell in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your shell pieces together and assemble it in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your keyless entry remote body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step. Screw fastener in the back of the key fob.
