2019 Toyota Prius C Key Fob Battery Replacement Instructions
If your Prius C key fob is no longer open doors perfectly, the cell battery most likely must to be changed. It's not complicated to change the battery in your keyless entry remote, and it’s easier than you think. All tools, that you need is described below.
What kind of battery key fob require
Before you start to disassembly key fob check all that you need: flat head screwdriver and CR2032 battery.- flat head screwdriver
- 1xCR2032 battery
Step by step instruction
A button cell battery installed inside the your remote key fob. Remove any internal key before you try to pry apart the key fob.
Carefully try to disassemble your key with pry tools. Remove 1xCR2032 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Now it's time to install new battery inside keyless entry fob's case. Be sure to connect the battery the right way around in a circuit. Your keyless entry remote will not work if you connect battery wrong way.
When the new battery installed, check key fob by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your keyless entry fob's case in reverse order.
The last thing to do is put your cover back on fob. Accurately try to assemble the two halves in place by hands from top to bottom. Inspect your key fob body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
