How to Open Your 2019 Toyota Yaris iA Key Fob and Change Battery

Before you start to open keyless entry remote make sure that you have all required tools and materials: flat head screwdriver and CR2025 battery.- flat head screwdriver
- 1xCR2025 battery
Simple steps to change the battery in your Yaris iA's key fob
A small button cell battery installed inside the your key fob. Remove any internal key first, and then try to pry apart the key fob.
Gently try to pry apart your key with hands or flat head screwdriver. Change one CR2025 battery with flat head screwdriver.
Get new battery and install it inside keyless entry fob's shell. Every battery has a negative and positive side and if you put the wrong connector down, the current cannot go into your circuit board and make it work. Check polarity on battery, by "+" mark.
After the new battery installed, verify key fob by pressing buttons. If all functions works, assemble your fob’s case in reverse order.
At this point squeeze keyless entry fob's back cover together. Line your case two halves together and put it in place by hands from top to bottom. Check your fob body for gaps. If it is not tightly closed try to repeat last step.
